Busy night at the Association of Photographers (AOP) Awards 2016. Very happy to have won Best in Category (Advertising Series) for the Duracell campaign I recently shot, commissioned by Grey London. As well as nominated twice in the non-commissioned Object Single Category with my Decanter shot and the Crystal Plant shot from the Host series in collaboration with Alyson Mowat.

How do you go about photographing a dead historical figure, frozen by snow and ice for an upcoming television documentary?
This was the challenge I recently received from Red Bee Media as part of a campaign for a series of documentaries for UKTV and the Yesterday Channel. Art directed by Joe Fitzgerald and Kim Hutcheson @Fitzandhutch.com and working with prosthetics artist Bill Turpin and retoucher Steve Warner, we went about shooting Hitler.
More bubble pictures, extreme close ups this time, you get such an amazing variation in colours and swirls from bubble to bubble.
Here are a few images from a test day working with soap bubbles. I love the randomness of the shapes you get, especially the dinosaur chick one.
